Welcome to Miwok Valley Elementary School. Miwok Valley is a neighborhood school located on 10 beautiful acres in the Southeast portion of Petaluma. The school was built in 1972 and has a current enrollment of approximately 500 students. There is a cultural mix at our school, which reflects the ethnic and social diversity of the Petaluma Community.
Miwok Valley has a lot to offer including individualized reading instruction, a fully staffed library, 4th - 6th grade Gifted and Talented Education classes, a modern computer lab as well as mini computer stations in each classroom, a coordinated PE program which includes the use of our 1/8th mile track, an annual science fair, an active and involved PTA, a K-6 art curriculum and kiln, a rigorous and exciting K-6 education, English Language Development classes, and a Dual Immersion program for those families that would like their children to become bi-literate in English and Spanish. Miwok Valley also has a before and after-school program and has an on-site preschool. We look forward to your family joining our community!
